You need to upgrade your songs to the plus version which costs approx. The only reason this error message shows up is because the songs in your iTunes library were not purchased in the "iTunes plus" format which was made standard on the iTunes store a few yearsĪgo.
You haven't directly done anything to make your songs protected.
